Underneath the battlement like stone walls of the south face Garn Fawr lie two cottages the Artist John Piper and his wife Myfanwy lived here on and off for many years from the sixties. They lived in the lower cottage and he used to use the little upper cottage as a studio . It is a truly magical place with the tiny old stone walled fields full of hawthorn trees and old apples all very overgrown , very sunny and the walk to and from work between the two cottages has the most beautiful views west all down the coast as far as Ramsay Island ,sleeping quietly on the horizon .
